HOTTER THAN HELL

Ugh. What a nasty past 48 hours that was. But now it's 8.30am and I'm here to bring you a whole new cup of freshness.

The first video from the new EP is complete. Its for "End of July" and it was directed by Jason Buchanan. Both myself and Stroud are pretty damn happy with the way it turned out. Stay tuned to here for an official release date on the whole EP/video/subsequent remixes.

NEAL POLLACK
America's greatest author and the writer whose title I long to inherit (though unforeseeable unless a bank vault falls on Matt Tobey and Neal's music career takes off) will be coming to Ann Arbor October 15th for a book signing and performance. Sadly, it's at that shit hole the Bling Pid (why the fuck not Leopolds is beyond me) but I will tolerate it for a night. I'm thinking of making a road trip and catching the October 11th show in Brooklyn. Not sure though. But I AM sure of the fact that his new album is hysterical and surprisingly rocking.

Starting Fridays there will be a new bonus segment to my site. I'm going to start paying tribute to a section of writing that has been sorely overlooked by literary scholars. I am going to start posting lyrics from the great KISS albums from the 1980s. Yes, we'll touch on some of the classics from the 70s, but it is in my opinion that some of the best songwriting ever came from KISS in the 80s and early 90s.

My favorite example will also serve as a teaser of what's to come. Here's a snippet from Gene Simmons' opus "Burn Bitch Burn". This can be found on the 1984 release Animalize:

I got nasty habits, it's a fine line, so many girls and so little time
When love rears its head, I wanna get on your case
Ooh baby, wanna put my log in your fireplace

This will be beneficial and educational for all. And maybe if you're lucky enough I'll post snippets of songs for you to consume as well. Just another fine service you get from reading my blog.

Hi D. I assure you that I am very much a heterosexual, but if that prevents you from reading my blog any further...I understand.

Thanks for the post.
