RAINY DAYS AND FRIDAYS

Ugh.

It's a friday morning and my whole right arm hurts from shoulder to fingertip. I wish I could just cut it off.

The only thing keeping me going is the stack of local music on my desk. Let me have a roll call please:

Tamion 12 Inch - Let's Suffer
Goudron - Raw Voltage
Safecracker- CD_R
Cotton Museum mp3 (new En release)
Chore- Complete Discography

Now let me stop here for a second. This CD came as a complete surprise while purusing the shelves of Encore last night. Imagine my surprise to see a 32 song CD compiling all of Chore's finest moments from 94-96 on one CD. Putting it in and listening brings me back to sweaty ypsi basement parties, underage drinking and horrible PA systems with bad acoustics. I wish I could go back and time and revisit those moments. It was the first in a long line of pleasant surprises I experienced last night.

I'm still convinced that right now the close group of friends I have are the best I've ever had, and probably the best I ever will have. I know I'm pretty young still, and there's alot of life yet to be lived..but it's just a hunch.

Anyways, this weekend is full of interesting things to see and do. Here's where I'll be :

FRIDAY NIGHT:

1. See Dykehouse (or as SXSW billed him D---house) play with a full live band (including Doug Coombe on the guitar! yeah!) at the Half Ass in A2 tonight.
2. Have a veggie burrito from Pancheros. I was told last night by a reliable source that their tortillas are freshly made. A relief to be sure. I can now eat with confidence.
3. Drive from A2 to the outskirts of the D to the Buddha Lounge for Stylus. Liz Copeland and Clark Warner throw this monthly party, and it's been a while since I went there to see them play. Which is strange, because I think they've excellent taste in music. It's just that it always seems as if something else is going on with me whenever the party goes down.

SATURDAY:

1. Return to the Half Ass in A2 for Fred Thomas headlining a bill of super quiet indie folk. Which is just what my ears will be needing after the afternoon's activities.
2. Possibly another veggie burrito from Pancheros (TBD)
3. Attend Untitled at the Shelter. Catch the last portion

SUNDAY:

1. Possibly make pancakes for breakfast if
2. No one calls me to go to Sean O Callahans in Plymouth to watch the Man Utd./Arsenal football match
3. Clean the new house. Do Laundry. Maybe go to the parents place for dinner

Thanks to Burnlab linking this, I think I may have found a front runner for my movie of the year.
