Oof said he as he stumbled out of bed after a long night out last night in which he was drinking Leopold's beer that for some inexplicable reason tasted like onion ring batter. He wakes up, takes a shower, gets dressed, brushes flosses and scopes, gets in the car and takes a deep breath before getting on the roller coaster ride that is I-94.
The ride in was beautiful today. The clouds were so low in the sky that it looked like the horizon had turned into a giant Rothko painting, or a Sugimoto photo; where all the blacks and greys of the rain clouds tempered and meshed into the skyline. The traffic was light so it gave me time to sit and let my brain fire up and enjoy it for once.
This weekend was amazing; and I don't like getting too much into detail but I can't believe how many turns of good fortune I've had as of late. I'm filled with these incredible feelings of relief, optimism and hope. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Right then, on to the links:
A very thought provoking piece regarding those bastards at Clear Channel. (Link courtesy of cmtroo)
Find out who is donating what and where. (Thank you Mr. Hardac)
Woodshop chimes in with links to the leaked Spider Man 2 and Catwoman trailers. I haven't watched them yet and they're probably time sensitive, so watch while you can.
I should have added this link earlier, but if you ever have the opportunity to check out Jesse Popp's standup, by all means do so. He is a very funny fellow, indeed!
And finally (for now) because I have lots of work to do, an investigation into John Coltrane, avant-garde jazz and "My Favorite Things".
