From time to time we will be posting interesting letters that the company whom I received gainful employment from receives. Our dilligent feedback sifter Scott weeds through, and will be presenting them from time to time when lightning strikes.
Names will be changed to protect the innocent and stupid. Unless they're really asking for it.
"Hello...my name is Biff-O and I'm a 25 year old college student from Falafel, Kansas. I have used your site for a long time now for artist information and other random things pertaining to music. I have an idea that I think should be taken into consideration. Allmusic should have a compilation series, like the "Now That's What I Call Music" series. Those types of CDs sell at all sorts of different places, including gas stations and tourist stops, not to mention the regular music stores or book stores. I have made many compilations over the years, and I would like to share a couple with you that would suit different listening audiences. If necessary, I would happily have many satisfied friends/coworkers write letters of recommendation for the mixes I have made them. Everyone loves the work I do, and people come to me regularly asking for mixes for different settings, from party atmospheres to easy nights at home.A series of compilations directed at different audiences with AMG's name on it would bring traffic to your website, and then everyone wins. I hope you will consider my idea, and I would be happy to contribute my work to you. Thank you very much for your time.-Biff-O"
